Long Service – V&A Waterfront

David Mitchell was awarded the Enforce 20 years service certificate on the 2nd of June 2011. Below is a short story of his career so far:

“I would like to give you feedback for the past 20 years at the V&A Waterfront. I started at the V&A on the 1st June1991. I started as a Traffic Warden as at that time the V&A Waterfront did not have its own security.

When the security division started I was promoted to the rank of Lt. which was at that time the 2nd in command of a shift. I held this position for approximately two years before I was promoted to the position of Shift Captain. I remained in this position for the next 4 years when I was promoted to the position as Contracts Manager of the Waterfront for a period of 5 years. Thereafter I was promoted to the position of Marina /Residential Manager until the Waterfront outsourced the security function during the month of August 2009.

It was at this time that I was transferred over to Enforce when they took over the Security Contract at the Waterfront. From the 1st September 2009 I was appointed as the Specialist Function Manager for Enforce at the V&A, a position I still hold.”

Very few people today can share David’s commitment to an organisation. We hope to see him part of our team for another 20 years!

Well done David!
