Social Responsibility and Investment
Enforce believes in giving back to the community. Our various Social Responsibility Programmes and activities include:
ENFORCE SPONSORSHIP - COMPUTER EDUCATION CENTRE
Enforce targets underprivileged schools and donates computer equipment and software to be used for educational and administrative purposes, thereby contributing to the skills and development within the respective communities.
It is to this end that Enforce has identified a school in desperate need of the Computer Education Centre, namely, Charles Memorial School situated in the Entshongweni Community. What makes this particular project worthwhile is that it will not only be the 500 students who will benefit from the Computer Education Centre, but also the entire Entshongweni Adult Community as the school has just introduced an Adult Basic Education, which will include computer literacy training.
The Company is very excited about this project, which as a value in access of R600 000, and will have a positive impact on the scholars of Charles Memorial School and the Entshongweni Community by enriching their lives through further education and becoming computer literate.
ASSISTANCE FOR THE AGED (TAFTA)
The Company acknowledges its role in supporting organisations, such as TAFTA (The Association for the Aged) in assisting (no matter how small) those individuals who find themselves in an unfortunate situation. Enforce has donated money, which will be used to provide meals for the Pensioners. This donation will be ongoing.
PASTOR EMMANUEL HLOPE – Support Of Community Initiatives
The Company assists Paster E Hlope with his ministry in the Molweni area (Church has a membership of about 50 people – mostly unemployed). Pastor Hlope plays a very important role in this Community as he not only provides the needed emotional support but also uses his knowledge in teaching others to become effective Pastors, thereby assisting in the upliftment of other communities. Pastor Hlope also translates English Books into Zulu.
SPORTS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
The company has an established Sports Development Programme, through which sporting equipment has been donated to disadvantaged schools. The company has also been the joint sponsor of the “Enforce Sports Achiever Award”, which recognises sporting achievements of scholars. In December 2000 the Enforce Sports Achiever for April 2000 won a gold medal for “kumite” at the World Karate Championships in Hungary.
CHESTERVILLE CLINIC
The Company assisted, in conjunction with The Highway Hospice, in founding the Chesterville Clinic. The Clinic makes an ongoing and invaluable contribution to the Chesterville community.
LIONS INTERNATIONAL
Enforce sponsors and hosts a regular Corporate Charity Golf Day in conjunction with Lions International. The funds that are raised at this annual event are distributed by Lions International to their various community-based projects and programmes, which support senior citizens and the underprivileged within our community. Lions International provides the ideal vehicle for the company to channel social responsibility funding to those who need it most.
